Director - Sales
Dave is responsible for planning and implementing both short- and long-range sales programs targeted toward existing and new markets and verticals. He directs all sales-related activities and ensures that sales grow year-over-year. He is also responsible for directing all phases of Summit’s proposal development process in response to requests for bids and proposals in the commercial, private and public sector markets. Dave has also been instrumental in the expansion of Summit’s business into new regions.
Dave’s professional career spans over four decades of sales experience in the security services, aviation, facilities management, and building maintenance industries. Prior to joining Summit, Dave was Senior Director of Business Development for one of the leading security and protection companies in the New York metropolitan area. Dave has held various other business development and sales and marketing management positions for private and public corporations, including a Fortune 500 company. There he held positions of increasing responsibility ultimately being promoted to Director of Business Development. Dave eventually become a consultant for this conglomerate and collaborated with a New York-based venture capital firm to divest the assets of this global giant.
Dave has specific expertise in the sourcing of business opportunities, capture strategies planning and implementation, bid/proposal management, and business communications. He helps to solidify Summit’s brand position and to ensure new business growth and customer retention. Dave has a Master of Science degree in Transportation Management from the State University of New York (SUNY), Maritime College at Fort Schuyler, NY. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Iona College in New Rochelle, NY. Dave is a member of several industry associations, including ASIS International, Long Island Chapter; Airline & Airport AVSEC Network; and Bid and Proposal Management Professionals.
