Robert A. Hopes, CPP

Vice President - Customer Success and Quality Assurance

Robert is Summit’s Vice President of Customer Success and Quality Assurance. His responsibilities include maintaining continuous communication with clients, overseeing the company’s twice-annual customer satisfaction survey, and collaborating with Summit’s operations, human resources, and finance teams to coordinate client support. He also works closely with the Sales & Marketing team to develop new business.

Robert has over 30 years of law enforcement and security management experience. He initially joined Summit as Director of Special Projects, planning, implementing, and directing various company-wide projects. Prior to this, Robert co-owned and operated a security and investigations company for almost a decade before assuming an executive management role at a local security services provider. He began his career with the New York City Police Department, serving as a Detective. During his tenure with the NYPD, Robert received a number of awards and citations, including the NYPD Chief of Detectives Achievement Award.

He is a New York State General Security Guard Instructor and holds a Bachelor’s degree from Long Island University. Robert is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP).
