Summit Promotes Edward Rutter to Vice President – Commercial Services Division
UNIONDALE, NY (March 20, 2019) — Summit Security Services, Inc., is proud to announce that Edward Rutter has been appointed Vice President – Commercial Services Division.
In his new role, Ed will focus on developing and executing Summit’s corporate-wide security policies, standards, and programs, maintaining executive management oversight of security operations in Summit’s New Jersey, New York City, and Long Island regions. He joined Summit as Director of Security Services in 2017, serving as the liaison between field security operations and executive leadership.
Ed began his career as a police officer with the New York City Police Department (NYPD). He served as Lieutenant in several commands, and as Detective Squad Commander in Queens. Ed retired from the NYPD as the Personnel Officer of the Detective Bureau after serving for almost 30 years.
During his time with the NYPD, Ed received a variety of awards, including the Police Combat Cross, numerous Commendations, and Recognition of Excellent and Meritorious Police Duty.
