Summit Security Services, Inc., Welcomes New HR Vice President Major Marlene Dietrich Heath

UNIONDALE, NY (June 1, 2018) — Summit Security Services, Inc., one of the largest security services providers in the United States, is pleased to announce that Marlene Dietrich Heath has joined Summit as Vice President of Human Resources. She will succeed outgoing Vice President Linda Piacentini, who will retire on June 15.

Marlene’s experience in Human Resources extends across various industries and 25 years of work. Prior to joining Summit, Marlene served as Vice President of Human Resources and Regional Human Resources Manager at companies in the real estate and pharmaceutical industries.

Alongside her corporate roles, Marlene serves in the US Air Force Air National Guard, having enlisted in 1993. She serves in dual roles as Health Administrator and Chief of Military Equal Opportunity.

During her time in the military, Marlene’s excellent service was recognized with numerous awards. She also received specialized training in conflict resolution and mediation, diversity and inclusion, and advanced leadership training that sharpened her abilities. Marlene was recently inducted into the New York State Veteran’s Hall of Fame.

As the new Vice President of HR, Marlene says she would like to develop stronger mentoring programs for all departments, as well as enhance Summit’s already robust training program.

Marlene received a Bachelor of Science in Human Services and a Master of Business Administration from Metropolitan College of New York. She is Co-Chair of Black Veterans for Social Justice (BVSJ) and is a Council Member of State University of New York-Downstate.
