Summit Chosen as Security Services Provider at SUNY Upstate Medical University

UNIONDALE, NY (April 3, 2019) — Summit Security Services, Inc., is proud to announce that it has been awarded a contract to provide supplemental security services at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY.

Under the terms of the five-year contract, which became effective on April 1, Summit security officers will supplement the New York State University police officers and support staff that protect Upstate Medical University campuses and facilities.

Part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system, Upstate Medical University comprises University Hospital (Downtown and Community campuses), Golisano Children’s Hospital, University Health Care Center and the Colleges of Graduate Studies, Health Professions, Medicine and Nursing, spread across 25 buildings on 30 acres of campuses. A focal point for cutting-edge biomedical research and medical education, the University serves 1,533 students. It is also an economic powerhouse and the region’s largest employer with almost 10,000 employees.

Summit secures the largest portfolio of colleges and universities of any security services provider in the tristate region. The addition of Upstate Medical University marks another step in Summit’s expansion into western New York State.
