Summit Named as One of America’s Best Employers
Summit is pleased to announce that it has been ranked among the best employers in the U.S. by one of the nation’s leading business magazines.
The Forbes list of America’s Best Midsize Employers ranks Summit at #164. The list includes 250 companies with between 1,000 and 5,000 employees. Summit was ranked amid a number of highly prominent national businesses and institutions, including The Container Store, Boston College, WayFair, Yelp, Avon Products, Caribou Coffee, Webster Bank, Princeton University, Marathon Oil, the CIT Group, Aflac, Chick-fil-A and ESPN. Popular catalog retailer L.L. Bean topped this year’s list.
The rankings were determined by an analysis of responses to an independent survey of more than 30,000 U.S. employees of large and midsize organizations, conducted by Forbes and Statista. Respondents to the survey rated their own employers and provided their opinions of other organizations operating within their employers’ industries. The rankings were entirely determined by the survey results and were not influenced by the companies included in the list.
It is part of Summit’s core philosophy that our employees are our strongest asset. Summit puts that philosophy into practice every day through robust employee benefits and incentives, internal promotion, and progressive professional development practices, resulting in an employee retention rate that is well above the industry average. Our employees are the reason for Summit’s industry leadership and success throughout our 39-year history.
